Hi Aimee,

I do appreciate your response good or bad.  Your right i dont know much about what goes on in hospitals and treatments and taking blood, etc. And I am very sorry for any pain that has been cause to you over the years and I wish you health and happiness.  However I think your missing my point.  I am not trying to get kids to volunteer for me to watch anybody be put through pain.  They will not watch blood being taken or any exams being done and frankly because I want them to stay around, and personally if I saw that being done to someone when I was young I would be scared out of my mind and most likelly never return.

All I do know is that there are a ton of kids in the hospital for long periods of time without there friends.  I can just picture young children that are used to going to school everyday and seeing and running and playing around with there friends, and then being in a position that is beyond their control, like having CAH.  And then being forced from school into a hospital without there friends.  I haven’t been in a hospital for long periods of time so I don’t know what they offer to there patients to do during there stay.  So thank you for informing me and explaining what some hospitals do offer.  However, I have been doing research for about the past three months (and trust me I have pleanty more to do) but I have not come across anything were kids get to interact with children of there own age group.  I believe that by bringing kids from the outside in, that they might be able to bring relief to some children who need it, it might also give the patient something to look forward to every week.  I just want to make it clear that the children would most likelly not be around for the intense recovery period, they will not see patients as they are being wheeled out of the surgery room, or even be able to go any where near them until that patient is ready and wants that.  I am not trying to force this upon anybody, it is purely, who wants it can have it.

It’s possible that I’m worng and that this isn’t the best idea, but I beleive in it, and I hope that I can make a difference for someone who needs it.  I also hope that by bringing in school kids it will open there eyes and make them thankful for what they have and hopefully turn around and be motivated to do something positive for someone else.

I know this is a sensitive subject, and I don’t mean to be stepping on anybodys toes by digging for more information, but by gaining all of the information I can, I hopefully will be able to turn this into a great program for kids who need it and can benefit from it.  So Aimee and Danny I appreciate your input, good or bad, so please keep it coming. Thank you.
