Brittany C.Tina,
Thank you for your help. I kind of just stumbled upon this site and thought this would be a good place to start connecting with people and family’s who have to deal with medical issues.
From what I’ve learned so far there are some with CAH that have been hospitalized for a while, but it seems like a large majority are in the same situation as you, where you just go to the doctors office. I know I’m not getting exactly what I would like out of talking to people on this site but I have learned alot and hope to learn some more. The group I am hoping to target are children that are bedridden and hospitalized for a while. But you mentioned that you have other children that have volunteered for hospitals. Would you mind telling me what interest your child and why they decided to volunteer. I also am interested in learning how you felt about that as a parent. See, I’m trying to bring in school children to socialize with patients and clearly that could be scary for some kids and there parents, God forbid, but in a case like if a patient wasn’t doing well and took a turn for the worse, I could completely understand why parents would be hesitant sending there child to a program like this. So maybe you could help me understand the pros and cons and your perspective on them from a parents point of view.
I would really appreciate your help, and thank you for responding. I’ve gotten alot of different responses about this, good and bad, but its nice to have someone who wants to help. I really appreciate it.
