Both of my SW CAH have had tubes, one twice, the other three times.  They did give IV SoluCortef but we did not triple dose.  The kids did great.  I did insist on doing the procedure at the hospital not a surgical center.  My youngest had his tonsils and adnoids out at age 3 along with a set of tubes.  He finally stopped getting ear infections and a constat runny nose after those 3 procedures,  the tubes alone really did not help him much.
