Yes, we took our children, 6 yrs. and 2 yrs., (both SWCAH) to NIH in September to participate in the natural history study. I can’t say enough about what a wonderful experience we had! We were there from Monday thru Thursday and were very busy getting all kinds of tests done, but it was so worth the trip!! If everything is done as an outpatient, as it usually is, then you stay at the Children’s Inn. This place is amazing. (You can look it up on the internet.)The kids loved staying here! What happened in terms of medication changes was.....both kids were on double the amount of cortef that they should have been.  So, we had to wean both kids down to their correct dosage and they are both doing great! We go back in a year and are looking forward to it. Just to talk to "the experts" about CAH was something that I can’t explain. Another family that I know just got back and they also had a great experience. Good Luck!
