Hi Misty!

It is a difficult situation and I hope it’s ok that I add as well to the thread- what i write might help and then again might not. Anyhow, I like people and human nature mine and others is interesting.

It is awesome to explain CAH and such with printout but you might also consider adding or going a different route with the biggest smile is the reason he looks so good is BECAUSE he takes these little pills. I’m 36 years old and I will admit that I’ll outright forget to take the hydro from time to time : ) it doesn’t happen to often but it does and I really just forget....I’m to busy doing other things or I just fall asleep so then here comes the grand parents that see a healthy looking boy in front of them and then to give medcation when gosh darn he look ummm pretty good and can even bounce on the beds. I often wonder if they might even be afraid to give hi mthe med because what of something happens or the med is a reminder that something might happen. I’ve actaully been in the hospital where I was admitted and then up in the room  at arounf the time of the hydro dose and had a nurse mumble that missing it this once would be ok. I think it is hard and I try to put myself in their shoes becuase I think we look good and then they think all is well ....but reallly we look good becuase of the hydro or pred.

Maybe all the info is overwhelming or it’s the I’m older and thus " got it handled" I don’t know but was wondering if maybe you sent the cortiosne along next time attached to in a baggie...... say a batch of  good store or homemade brownies/ cookies that it wouldn’t be so easily forgotten? I do this with myself and the hydrocortisone/synthroid/fosomax Plus d! that I take : ) I = the stuff with drinking and eatting thus don’t forget as much. It’s gotta be much harder for those that don’t live with the condition to come up with a system to deal with another loved ones medication.

Good Luck,

Aimee
