Hi Natalie - Nice to meet you (so to speak) :)  Thank you so much for your response.  Can you tell me why you took your kids off of cortef?  Do they still continue to have any obvious symptoms of NCAH now that they are off?  Did all your kids wear medic alert bracelets?

I know I am full of a hundred questions and I apologize for the barrage.   As for you, in your note you stated that now you have answers to all your aliments.  May I ask what type?  I have always had some strange things - in fact that has always seemed to run in my family on my dad’s side and it has always been our running family joke.  I have pretty severe allergies and strange sensitivities (as does my son) and seem to develop them even after long time exposure (i.e. became allergic to acrylic nails after 15 yrs- go figure!)  I have been supposedly diagnosed with fibromyalgia although I had doctors disagree on that.  They finally concluded it was "undifferentiated interconnective tissue disease" .  I had an abnormal FANA test (a type of antibody test) and all other tests were fine for any other auto-immune disease.  I have had panic attacks and mild depression.  And last but not least, I have lots of joint pains.  It sounds like I am a total mess but I am quite active and healthy otherwise so it doesn’t slow me down.    This is probably way too much info on me, but I am trying to piece some stuff together and wonder if this is a stronger part of my family background than ever known, being that I am at a minimum a carrier.  My son is the first to be diagnosed with this.   Some other strange things in my family:   my sister is currently battling idopathic optic neuropothy and was treated with high dose prednisone and methatextrate (sp?) over the past year.  No real explaination as all known causes have been ruled out.  My father had unexplained hair loss all over his body (alopecia) once -they said it was his immune system attacking his hair follicles.  Does any of this fit or am I becoming paranoid??!?!

I will send you my address via email as I would love to receive your packet.

I truly thank you for your help and wish you all a wonderful holiday season.

Valerie
