I remember this was a big thing at our school when I was about the same age.  It was a big deal until a teacher caught some girls in the hall at school hyperventilating and then pressing on their cartoid artery to temporarily pass out!!  Needless to say it was immediately a big deal with the leaders of the school and they called a meeting and talked to all about the dangers of this. 

You might want to talk to the school adminstration or teacher and ask that they do the same.  It is really scary the things kids will do that they think are harmless.
