M1Hi there, hey I’m sure that they will draw blood on you too just to compare with your child’s results. I think that when Natalie went they drew her blood too.
I was actually dxed when I was 25, my daughter was 2 years old at that time. That was almost 13 years ago.
My daughter’s dna test came back that she had 2 of the same genes the first time I had her tested. But the second time mine was done too (at NIH), and there through the comparison they found she carried a deletion like I do. So sometimes errors can occur, therefor it’s good to have at least one parents blood to compare it to.
