Rachel Ray did this on Oprah last week and Kristin and I have made it several times for friends.

HOLIDAY FUDGE WREATH

1 12 oz bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips

3/4 of a 12 oz bag of butterscotch chips

1 12 oz can of sweetened condensed milk

1 tsp of pure vanilla extract

1 cup chopped walnuts

1/2 cup raisins

red and green candied cherries to decorate the wreath

Butter the bottom and sides of a cake pan (or cut a piece of waxed paper to fit the bottom of the pan).

Mix first 4 ingredients in a heavy pan over low/med heat, stirring constantly.

(Keep the condensed milk can and cover with plastic wrap.)

When the chocolate mixture is melted, stir in the nuts and raisins.

Put the covered can in the center of the cake pan.

Drop the melted fudge into the cake pan, around the can (to make a ring like a wreath.)  Do NOT smooth the top of the fudge - leave it a little bumpy.

Cut the red cherries in half to make berries.  Cut the green cherries into quarters and flatten a little to make leaves.  Arrange the cherries on top of the wreath in clusters of 3 berries and 2 leaves.  4 clusters looks nice.  Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.  After it has hardened in the refrigerator, remove the can from the center and remove the fudge wreath from the pan.  Place on a plate and cover with plastic wrap.  Add a pretty bow to the package!

This is super easy and looks really nice.  It makes a great gift or a great dessert to set out for your guests on Christmas day and it doesn’t take very long at all - maybe 10 minutes to make.  Everyone has loved it so far!

Great idea sharing recipes, Aimee!
