My daughter also has reflux and has been on several medications.  She now takes Nexium and it seems to work pretty well.  One thing she does after meals is chew gum.  She says it really helps and her gastroenterologist said many people say that and it is because it makes you swallow and keeps the acid from coming up.  Another thing she told us is it is ok to take an over-the-counter medication for the reflux after a meal in addition to the Nexium she already takes daily.  One last thing she told us that that no matter what time of day you take your reflux medication, the period right after dinner seems to be the worst for 90 percent of  her patients.  That is when she really recommends taking something else if you need it.  By the way, my daughter also has CAH and takes Cortef and Florinef as well as medicine for preventing migraines and pain/anti-inflamatory drugs for her knee, so I suppose none of them help the reflux problem - but, she actually had the reflux before she was even diagonosed with any of the other stuff and before she was on any medication.  The dr. says her colic as an infant was actually reflux.
