I have not had to deal with this yet as far as wisdom teeth, but my son who has SWCAH had to have 4 teeth removed at age 5 and of course he was put to sleep for the procedure. This REQUIRED him to have Solu-Cortef in his IV which was started before the surgery as per his endo’s instructions. We actually arranged to have it done at the children’s hospital so the endo could coordinate with the staff on instructions regarding stress dosing. We were not reqired to stay overnight, but he was sent home after the surgery on a stress dose of Cortef for a day or so after the extraction. Good Luck!
