Not sure why he would be tired. I never experienced that. You mentioned he was growing fast, maybe its making him tired? Really don’t feel mood swings coming on. Usually my wife or kids tell me I am being a Butt, and then I know. Doesn’t really happen that often unless I am under stress from others.

Other things to look for;

I matured quickly and my grade school teachers said I was advanced mentally, physically and emotionally. Because of this I was attached to girls at a early age and hanged out with older people, didn’t really hang with people my age. Please keep your eyes on him when it comes to the girls. Emotions can turn to physical things early on, ya know what I mean.

My doctor always made sure to tell my mom in the summer time and during sports to force me to drink water or Gatorade, and make sure I was not dehydrated and urinated often. I can remember one time going to doctor and I had to go to emergency room for IV. That cured me of not hydrating often when I was young.
