Hi there...

I am an ER nurse, and I can tell you that MANY people react exactly the way you described to anti-nausea drugs...Phenergan and Reglan are ones that can’t be "pushed" too quickly, or people will have that reaction every time. Additionally, Droperidol is TERRIBLE. We never give it at my hospital anymore, as it causes patients to have what we call, "bad trips." Hallucinations--the whole ball of wax. So don’t worry too much about what the drug did...I’ve seen it too many times to count. Make sure you find out what it was so he doesn’t get it again, but don’t beat yourself up...
