Aimee:

I read your post with great interest and I always do.  I do not dislike you at all.  I do not post often, but read this site daily.  I read just about every post ... yours and others.  You offer a perspective that is extremely important to me.  I respect your input.

I just want to clarify that our daughter knows exactly how she was born.  She’s seen pictures of all the different prader scales and she can identify what she is told she looked like.  We were told she was a girl, there was no mis -assignment of gender in her case.  We chose not to share with her our emotional roller -coaster.  We did not feel there was a benefit to that.  I hope I said that clearly.

As for all your physical examinations, I can understand why you feel the way you do.  Fortunately, our daughter has not had to endure that ... and we NEVER permit any medical students, fellows, interns etc in the room, even when she and the doc and I are just talking.  Believe me they have tried in the past, but without success.  We never wanted her to feel uncomfortable like that.

Anyway, gotta run.
