I need some advice

My daughter is SWCAH and her brother is non affected/non carrier. As of two days ago I began babysitting my nephew and will be doing so 3 days a week. He is also non affected/non carrier. My husband told his sister not to bring her son over here if he was sick. Because frankly we try and avoid situations where our daughter will be around sick people, unless it’s utterly impossible to avoid.

I.E. If she has to goto the doctor..something like that.

Otherwise, if any family members are sick, we ask that they just stay home until they are well. We don’t want our daughter getting sick (we know we can’t totally avoid illness and it’s not like we keep her in a bubble) or our son for that matter.

My sister in law called me a few minutes ago and told me that her son has a fever and a bad cough. (Which he has had for quite some time incidently) I could hear him in the background gagging because he was coughing so hard. She’s only been to work two days so far (it’s a new job) and well personally I don’t want her to bring him over here sick.

I don’t know what to do! Is it far to keep him home when he is sick to try and avoid getting our daughter with SWCAH sick? Or should we just wing it and let nature take it’s course? My daughter has such a hard time with being sick. When she gets a cold she coughs so hard she almost always ends up gagging and throwing up. She has to use a nebulizer otherwise she coughs almost constantly. We had to take her to the ER one night last year because she had coughed so hard she started vomiting and ended up in a cycle she couldn’t get out of. I really believe that she was going into adrenal crisis. And had I not pushed for her to be given a solu cortef shot, she wouldn’t be here today.

Incidently, my nephew is always sick. His mother doesn’t dress him for the weather properly. Last night it was about 50F and she took him outside in just a tshirt and slippers. Knowing that he has a bad cough already.
