Sherry,
I just want to start by saying I know what you are going through. My son has SWCAH and we try very hard not get him around family and friends that are sick and also not let them come around as well. Some people always get mad at me or just act like why am I making a big deal of it. Well, he gets sick with just a cold and it is a battle for him to get better. It has always been that way. I just try to tell everyone that if they are sick I would like for them to stay away untill there are better. I also have two other children and one has Fragile X and Autism I dont want them to get sick either. I think for every parent that has a child with CAH or not they dont want their child around someone who is sick anyays. I do think though that you should not watch him. I think that the mother should take her son to the Doctor and get some meds so he can get better. I hate when their are mothers out there who dont care when their babie sare sick. My cousin is one of them. Im not saying that your sister n law is like that at all. Im sure she is a good mother. I just would tell her that you can not watch him and risk getting your daughter sick. Its improtant that she stay away from people who are sick if that is possible. You try and avoid that at all times. Now you and i know sometimes we dont know but we try to do what we can and avoid things at all times. I also would tell her to take her son to the Dr. or the ER and get looked at and then she could a Dr.’s note saying her son is sick or has been sick and ask that she be excused from work. It sucks when you have to work and even if it is your new job and your child is sick and you have to miss. But I think of it as my children come first they will always be around and there are always jobs out there. Im sorry that I am rambling on and on. I hope that she can understand. I wish you luck!!!!
