re: questions about daughter

Hi,
Mine has same problem. Though she is just nearly 2 years old.
Last year (2005), when she takes medicine 3 times a day, her 17 OHP as well as testosterone are high but her weight is ok.

This year (2006), when I apply circadium dosing, she gains weight so quickly. For the first quarter of the year, her overweight is explained by overdosing. The test result came back with quite low 17OHP and acceptable testosterone. For the last part of the year, we reduce her medicine to the level equal to 10mg/m2 of body skin. The 2 test results came back with high 17OHP and acceptable testosterone. However, she is still overweight. And another thing makes me really worried is that she has lot of hair on her forehead and back and she has big belly. I read somewhere saying that this is sign of overdosage. It makes me confused since her level of medicine is the lowest one (i.e. 10mg/m2 of skin)

I’m really confused and worried. Then three weeks ago, I reduced rice and meat in her meals and reduced milk also to the acceptable level (i.e. she does not ask for more food). It improves a lot: smaller belly, loss of a little bit of weight while keep growing. But it is just a short time since then, so I can not conclude anything.

Now she gets 2.25mg at 3AM, 2mg at 7:30AM, 1.25mg at 12:30PM and 0.75mg at 5:30PM. I really want to know whether such timing is suitable to her body need. It takes time I know. Sometimes, I feel discouraged and want to go back to 3 times/day. But I calm down myself that at least now my dd can use the lowest level of hydrocortisone and have acceptable test results.

Have you got any idea about Florinef dose? Please let me update with your findings.
Good luck!
