My daughter has also always had supersensitive skin. She has reacted to things like chlorine in water. When she was 13 (she’s now 17), she broke out in hives after eating shrimp (which we have since found out she’s allergic to). Even after eliminating shrimp and other foods she’s allergic to from her diet, she still has hives--every day for almost 4 years. She takes large doses of antihistamines every day to control them. At around the same time, her hormones went out of whack and she has many symptoms of LOCAH (she has not been officially diagnosed, however. She tested in the carrier range). I’ve always believed the two conditions are related. Her hives definitely get worse with stress or illness, times when she needs more cortisone.
