cristiMy 12 (almost 13) year old LOCAH son has very high testosterone levels. His last blood test showed that his testosterone was 1,484. He is definately going thru puberty right now, but the doctor says the levels are a lot higher than they should be. I was wondering if anyone else has had this experience with their children. His endo just ordered an MRI because he wants to rule out the possibility of a hamartoma, germinoma. I guess it’s a kind of brain tumor. He has had several MRIs in the past to rule out a pituitary tumor. I would feel a lot better if someone out there could tell me that this high testosterone level is not uncommon for our kids.
Also my son is taking letrozole which we know could raise his levels, but before he started the letrozole his testosterone was still high at 910.
Thanks for any input!
