If it’s just diareah, and I don’t say that lightly, I don’t usually increase the cortef dose.  Just lots of fluids, rice and keep an eye on them.  If there are other symptoms ... fever, vomiting, and "acting sick", then I would stress dose.  That’s what we do.  How old is your child?
