These were her levels before and what they went up to.

Cortisol -- 17UG/DL @ 9:00 a.m.  Cortisol -- 30 UG/DL @10:10 a.m.

17-Alpha Hydroxy - 49NG/DL @9:00 a.m. -17 Alpha Hydroxy 323 NG/DL @10:00

DHEA -449 NG/DL @ 9:00 a.m.    DHEA --  675NG/DL @ 10:10

androstendione - 98NG/DL @ 9:00   androstendine 130NG/DL @ 10:10 a.m.

17-OH-PREGNENOLONE - 243 NG/DL  17-OHP  934NG/DL   @10:10 a.m.

The only reason the doctor said to change to Predisone was because she was getting older and with school activities she would only need it twice a day whereas the Cortef was three times a day.

The endo at Childrens said  "for example" the 17 Alpha Hydroxy would have had to veer to somewhere like 1200 before he would say it was abnormal enough to suppress her adrenal glands.  Her number was 323.

I have put her ack on Cortef.  She was on 10 mgs of Predisone so we put her on 30 of Cortef.  The new endo at Childrens said that equaled to 40 Predisone.  I beleive that is what he said.  My head was spinning.   He wants me to wean her off completely with 45 or 50 days in three day increments.

I just hope I know what I am doing.

Thanks so much,

Michele
