The Deborah your child went to is the same endo whom diagnosed my daughter.  She put her on the 10 mgs of Predinsone.  She originally had her on 10 mgs of Cortef at 1/2, 1/2, and 5.  She was doing well and she increased her to Predinsone of 10mgs ONLY because she was getting older and it would be more conveinent.  She never missed aany meds on three doses a day.

I called her and asked her about all this and she very emphamtically told me 10 mgs of Predisone was not too high.  She seemed very defensive and I was just asking her why the difference of opinions and she said they like to take her patients??

 

I did contact NIH and they have not gotten back  to me.  I am also going to try Dr. New.  I know she used to review medical records. 

 

Where are you at now Stephanie?  Did you move?  Just curious as there is not a whole lot of endo’s here in Pittsburgh.
