ToniaAmy,
Congratulations on the birth of your new baby girl!!!!!! I’m glad you found the support forum here. Ask any questions you like.
I’m not sure what the dose would be for a 1 month old- maybe one of the mommies with an infant can help there. My daughters are 8 & 10, so it has been awhile. I can tell you 100 mg is ALOT! My daughters take 50mg in an emergency. It is also important that you learn not only when to give the shot and how much but how to give it. Be comfortable with opening and mixing the vial and injecting it. A crisis is not the time to learn. Your endo should have a nurse that can teach you and help you practice until you are comfortable with it.
Have you gone to the CARES Foundation website? If not, please do. caresfoundation.org You can find a support group in your state, learn just about anything you can think of on the website or contact them directly for physician referrals. Wonderful group of people!
Best wishes to you! If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask!
Blessings,
Tonia
