I had to wait that long too, and "oh, momma" never worked :) It’s just as well though, because I turned out to have serious metal allergies and it took a lot of willpower to wear them long enough for the piercings to become permanent.

Just a little side-question though, something I’ve always been curious about. Why the rush to have ears pierced so young? It’s not too hard to see the disadvantages, like infections and the chance that the piercings might not be in a good place once your ears are adult sized, but what’s the upside?
