I feel the same way..what’s the rush??..I dont see the need to cause a baby any unnecassary pain and the risk of an infection. I didn’t get my ears pierced until I was about 8 and I decided for myself. I wore them off and on for the next 10 years, but haven’t really worn them at all in the last 10 years...I think they’re pretty much closed up now. My girls are only 4 & 2, and probably have no clue what earrings really even are, but I’m sure that’ll change in the next few years.

For those that are going to get their little ones ears pierced, I’ve read that many dr’s will do the piercings in their office...I think that would be the safest & cleanest option..compared to the teenagers doing them in the mall :)
