When I asked my own CAH daughter (who had hers pierced when she turned 9 last summer) what she thought about this, she said, "No, no, no!! The poor little baby will be hurt and scared ... what if she doesn’t WANT her ears pierced?!"

I would agree with the others: pain and risk of infection (not to mention the numerous people I know whose ears either grew in or were ripped out - yuck!) don’t seem worth the risk at such a young age. I would let her get bigger and decide for herself, but I don’t really think you were looking for opinions on whether or not to have it done! I will say that at age 9, we had no troubles whatsoever; my daughter does have very sensitive skin, and the women in her family have trouble with earrings that are not real gold, so we’ve stuck with that so far.

Good luck with whatever you decide!
