re: Lipoid Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia

Hi wondering mom,
I’m wondering if I have it. A torso mri shows me with very enlarged adrenals, and an ACTH stim test mostly showed a general hormonal starvation which might be the result of some combination of lipoid hyperplasia and/or 17-alpha-hydroxylase deficiency. On the other hand, my cortisol levels were impossibly high, too high for the tiny amount of adrenal precursors. So my endo never diagnosed anything, and the NIH said they didn’t know either. I’m not sure what’s going on, unless the cortisol results were a mistake.
