Hello to all newcomers..... I am Cherry Lane and I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I am raising my 6 year old Granddaughter Mitzi who has swcah and was diagnosed at 13 months old after having adrenal crisis. I agree with Jenny being the Grandparent /Mommy is awesome. Every moment with Mitzi is a new challenge but also a new blessing. I LOVE this board and all the people who post and give us great parenting ideas with our cah children and adults. Communication is the most valuable asset other than medication...... that we can use in our childrens life... to help them function and be productive with this defect that we all are connected with in some way or another. I am a support person for Virginia through Cares and look forward to the next Cares convention.  They are so educational and supportive and you walk away feeling so rejuvenated and KNOWING you are not alone in this venture. What a great path God has created for us all to be connected and helping each other. The greatest gift you can give anyone is your time and your ability to listen to there story... as we all have one that needs to be heard. I feel sometimes as though I have lived 100  years instead of only 56. I love life and kids and laughter and gardening and cooking and dancing with my wonderful husband. I am so blessed to experience this at my age!
