re: irregular menstrual periods question

I just want to agree with the others that I think this is something to talk to the endo about, especially since he asked about her periods. I would be very concerned about anemia and would ask to have her blood checked for that immediately. Usually after 2 yrs of menstrating, periods should be relatively regular. I have read that in CAH the estrogen level tends to be low, which leads to light periods, so maybe this is an indication of too much steroid? I really don’t know, it’s just a guess, but something to ask the endo.

My daughter (possible LOCAH) takes Yasmin for irregular periods, which is also often prescribed for PCOS. It contains some anti-androgen. It works well for her, gives her regular periods, and evens out her hormones so that she’s not so moody with hormonal changes.
