J wood,

I remember when I was 10 years old I went through a period where I cut my hair into a boy hair cut and I also wore boy clothes.  Ever since I was a kid, all the girls around me told me I was better at doing boy voices when we’d play barbies, so I thought.."hell if they think I’m good at that, then I must be a guy."  I played softball and decided to act like a tomboy during that period of my life.  When I got a little older, I started noticing all the popular girls and wanted to fit in with them, so I dressed differently.  I got interested in make-up and everything else.  My only question to you is, "Are her levels doing okay?"  My mother and I both believe that I may have not been suppressed really all that great.  During the time period that I felt like I was a boy, my mother would reassure me and she supported me.  I think that she will come around, when we’re young we like to defy our parents.  If you encourage her, she may like to pull away to the other side just to see your reaction.   I know I had to fight with my mother to cut my long hair, but when I got my way, eventually I did hate what I did to myself.  I also hated wearing dresses or dealing with anything that was girly.  Well, I hope it all works out for you.  I’m sure she’ll come around because I did.  But I would definitely check to see if she is suppressed enough.  Sometimes that can be the cause for the way we feel and other times it could be our childhood peers (like what I dealt with).
