Lisa V.When my daughter was little I put her frilly dresses and bows and cute shoes. But when she turned 4 she hated that stuff. And she never liked dolls or barbies. She is a hot wheels girl through and through. Jeans and t-shirts with long hair.
She is 11 1/2 now and very much the athlete, but she has decided that she does not like her Nascar bedroom anymore and would like something a little more girly, she wears perfume and absolutely loves it and is always asking me how her hair looks.
I think some kids just go through a tom-boy phase. I did but I outgrew by the time I was 8. And I think my daughter is outgrowing it now. She still hangs with the guys on the basketball court, but she hangs with the girls before and after school.
