There are so many people who say girls with cah are more tomboyish but i think, to be honest it depends on the girl herself, not her condition. I’m not sure how old your daughter is but if she’s round the 10 year old mark, so many kids go through the ’boyish’ stage cah and non cah alike. When i was younger (well, only 5 years ago!), i wasn’t really one of these kids who were into cutting their hair like a boy like a lot of my friends who didn’t have cah did. When i was even younger i played with dolls and barbies and hated when my older brother wanted to wrestle or play with cars, i just wasn’t interested. So many of my friends loved this sort of stuff and seemed to be turning into tomboys though. When you reach a certain age though, especially with girls as you start ’becoming a woman’, your attitude changes, i started getting interested in make up, boys, fashion, dreaming of having a family, the lot and so did my ’tomboy’ friends. I think these tomboy phases are just experimenting things as a child going into teen age years. Everyone seems to go through that messy room and not washing your hair til you really need to, but the things you do as a child do tend to reverse as you get older. However she acts and feels, it’s the way she is, all you need to do is let her be her and she’ll probably come out of this boyish stage as having 2 brothers makes it hard to be girly. I’ve been lucky in the fact that i’ve been at an all girls school for 8 years now so i guess i couldn’t end up any other way!
