Ok everybody I have a ??. I know there is a possibility that my little one may not have to have the HGH. I know not all kids with CAH have to take it. (Thanks to the gals at CARES they helped me understand this)

Question for thoes parents that have had to give their children the drug...............

I was told that it could cost upwards of $400 a day depending on the dose. So how on earth do you afford it?? I mean I am sure health insurance is less than happy to have to shell out that kind of money. Did you just pay a copay??

I just dont’ understand why there is a medicine that is SO outrageously expensive that people can’t afford it. I mean even if you are considered rich............ that still is a lot.

 

At least the daily meds my little one takes (florinef, cortef) arent’ that expensive.
