Even for people with no conditions whatsoever, it can take 6+months to conceive - so try not to get too frustrated too quickly! I have late-onset CAH and it took me about 2.5 years to conceive my first baby, but I was only cycling about 4 times a year and not being too serious about charting my ovulation. This time around, I’ve been cycling about every 35 days, and we’ve been trying for about 8 months, and I’ve been charting pretty well, and I won’t start getting anxious until we’ve hit the year mark (we don’t really want to try infertility treatments, which is a viable option for a lot of people). So just hang in there and relax - it’ll happen, but it might take a little while - I do have some friends and students (I teach natural childbirth) that conceived on their first try, but it’s not that common! :)shanna
