We have had good luck with Prednisone for many years now...It is a good med, just getting the levels right, as we all know too well. My daughter is now 19 and has been overweight most of her life, though she is not over supressed. I wish I had advise to give you on getting her weight under control before she starts school, but I was never able to succeed. I just kept communication open with my daughter and the teachers. When kids were cruel, as they usually will be, I just told her "Let them walk a mile in your shoes, you’ve been through more than most kids will ever go through in their entire life"

I hope you have better luck than I did. I know there are a lot of CAH’ers who are not overweight, so it is not hopeless! :)
