I’ll never really know.  When he was first diagnosed (he’s actually a carrier) his bone age was really moving ahead very fast.  The doctor gave him Arimidex alone and not cortef because he’s just a carrier.  That didn’t seem to work but when we added the cortef his bone age really slowed down.  So I don’t know if it would have slowed down just with the cortef or what but I’ve kept him on both drugs.  Supposedly adolescent or pre-adolescent boys don’t need estrogen and they now have boys who have reached maturity after taking Arimidex and they seem perfectly fine.
