I’ll never really know. When he was first diagnosed (he’s actually a carrier) his bone age was really moving ahead very fast. The doctor gave him Arimidex alone and not cortef because he’s just a carrier. That didn’t seem to work but when we added the cortef his bone age really slowed down. So I don’t know if it would have slowed down just with the cortef or what but I’ve kept him on both drugs. Supposedly adolescent or pre-adolescent boys don’t need estrogen and they now have boys who have reached maturity after taking Arimidex and they seem perfectly fine.bonnie
