LauraWell we just got back from the doctor. She gave her Nasonex. It was the Rinocort that she couldn’t take from excessive sneezing and that one a day pill for asthma control I can’t remember maybe Singular? that gave her nosebleeds and head aches. We were laughing so hard when she took that. I forgot about it until my daughter brought it up to the doctor today. It was as if she was allergic to the nose spray!!! She sneezed non stop! Of course with my daughter ANYTHING is possible. So yes, she already tried the Nasonex today at the office and it helped tremendously! They want her to finish the antibiotics she is on, stop using the over the counter nose spray (in which I knew you can get addicted to it so only used it in one nostril but they said it didn’t matter) AND I used something I thought was safer than the powerful stuff. ANYWAY, so we are to quit using that stuff, and start using the Nasonex once a day, and then she put her on Claritin X what you mentioned above. She gave me samples of all these and prescriptions to have filled. Said that the Claritin X may not be covered by our insurance. Was it on yours?
So if she finishes her antibiotics, takes the Nasonex, and the Clarintin X and is STILL having problems then they want to do a CT of her sinuses. So I will let you know how that pans out. I can’t imagine any of us getting a solid night of sleep in our house! The good news is that her asthma is under perfect control. Whew. Which surprises me since she has this sinus thing going. BUT no dripping in the back of her throat so there is nothing to cough so we are lucky I guess. The poor kid is too plugged for anything to drain! Thanks Kat, we truly need to move next door to eachother. I am SO happy to hear your daughter has recovered! Thanks for all your help and all your advice. I will let you know how things are going. Thanks!
