When we were trying to get pregnant, I was given dex to have on hand at home. We were told to start taking it as soon as I missed a period; since my periods have always been irregular, I had more than one "false start" before we finally DID get pregnant!

From what I understand, the earlier, the better, but I wouldn’t freak out about a couple of days. If you want quicker action, I’d go explain to the nurse that I’ve already SEEN the doctor, am just needing a prescription because I’m now pregnant (and reiterate that the doctor said you’re supposed to take it as SOON as you get pregnant), and park my bottom in the office wating room until I could see the doctor "for just a minute"!! But that’s just me.... !! ; )
