My best friend has just been diagnosed with thyroid problems of some sort.  I understand there is hypo and hyper.  Is that correct?  She has had bad swelling in her ankles for a couple of years and water pills have not worked.  The doctors checked her veins and did blood work.  So far thyroid problems were discovered.  I don’t know which kind yet.  In your opinion, do you think thyroid would cause swelling in her ankles?  It is quite severe.  I’m asking you because I know you have a thyroid condition.  thanks.
