Two inches in 4 months is quite a big jump in growth.  We take the cortef pills and all of our increase are by 2.5 mgs, as you can’t really spit them in quarters, although I think I did for a while when my kids were younger. Have you had a bone age?  That would let you know if the growth was "good"  or "bad".
