My son is on Nutropin AQ 10mg cartridge. His dose is 3.0ml 6 days per week. Here is my dilemma. There is always about a half dose remaining in the cartridge after 3 days. We were told by the manufacturer to discard that remaining amount. My question to anybody out there is this: would it be so horrible if on one additional day I would dose my child with the remainder of the cartridge so I could extend the meds? I just found out that due to my income, I will receive growth hormone at no cost, EXCEPT, they want me to buy 4 vials during the year. Each vial lasts 3 days. 4 vials is 12 days of meds. They want me to buy a piddely 12 days of meds, and they provide the remainder at no cost within one year. ONE VIAL COSTS $559! That is an additional $2236 that I have to split with my ex to pay. That is tough for me. So I am wondering about using that bit that is leftover. I feel like a senior citizen who can’t afford her monthly meds! This country is ridiculous. I am totally in debt to the manufacturer for making these meds available to my son. My kids are driving me to the poor house! Bottom line, 1 day out of 4, my son would get a half dose.  Is it as bad as it sounds???
