The growth hormone is injected with a needle very similar, or the same, as what a diabetic would use. It is small and thin, but as with all needles, will pinch a bit when cutting through the skin. It is something that the child will get used to and will eventually say that it doesn’t hurt. My daughter was on them for a number of years to gain height.
