GHD is growth hormone deficiency. His pituitary gland does not secrete enough growth hormone to promote normal growth. I guess this isn’t the right place to ask questions about this deficiency. He takes nightly injections for this hormone replacement.Lora-JoyLandon was diagnosed last August and we were only told that he had adrenal insufficiency/CAH. They just immediately started him on cortef and gave us a crisis kit. From talking to Erin at Caresfoundation it sounds like he has nonclassical CAH.
Erin at the cares foundation also told me about a history study that is being done in Maryland. We could go and get genetic testing and some other tests for free because it is a study. She said it was wonderful . We will check it out.
Thanks for responding.
