To me there is a big difference--Attention Deficit or A D HYPERACTIVE Disorder. My daughter definitely is not hyperactive, but she has trouble concentrating, staying focused in class, staying on task. It takes her at least twice as long to get anything done as it should because she gets so easily distracted. Although I’ve never gotten her tested (but now I think I will), if there’s something that will help her, it would be worth it. It’s not about sedation, although I imagine there are kids being needlessly treated just because they are high energy.
