I love the rabbit and turtle bit that you wrote.   My  8 year old CAH daughter is a true Rabbit - learns fast and then gets bored.  We have been having a lot of trouble getting her to do homework, it is just so boring for her.  However, recently we have started doing things like timing her doing her spelling words to see how fast she does them each time, she tries to get a quicker time each time.   Wow!   It is working, she is doing boring stuff but in a challenging way and she is enjoying it much more.    I agree that the classroom caters for the lower percentile children and this has always concerned me as our daughter is quite bright and her mind needs to be challenged.  She has not learnt to challenge herself and I am hoping that this will eventually happen because I would hate to see her talent wasted!
