I always thought that my son had ADHD, too. He could not sit still or stay focused. He once got into trouble at school for fidgeting! He could not stop himself, but was driving the teacher crazy. I once contacted someone who was doing a study on ADHD and they refused to test him because he was a straight A student. One of their criteria was having trouble with school work. Reading about your son reminded me of that. My son went on to graduate from college Summa Cum Laude (just had to throw that in, lol) and recently got married. His issues have gotten a lot better as he has matured, but I still see some things that cause him problems, like impulsivity, difficulty finishing things. He also doesn’t handle stress well at all. A couple of times after stressful conversations with us (not arguments, but about problems he was having at work) he had to lay down afterward because he was so wiped out. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is a carrier, also.Kat"True ADHD involves the HPA axis"--how so? I’m interested in finding out more. Thanks.
