EdenI don’t know if there is anyone out there who can explain the history of CAH, when it was first discovered, where, who were some of the leading researchers, etc...
Also, I understand that babies born with swcah used to die in infancy. Is this why the condition is now so rare, because those with classical CAH died before they were able to reproduce?
Now that beautiful children, like my son, can live to an age where they can reproduce, will swcah become more prevalent in the population?
Also, I remember at the conference they were taking xeroxes of hands, comparing the height relationship between the forefinger and ringfinger for a research project at NIH. Can anyone explain to me what this research was about--I seem to remember it had something to do with hormone exposure in the uterus.
Ok, thanks!
