Wan, I agree with you some. It is easy when having something that causes such severe problems to blame it for too much. But you have to remember the dynamics of modern day medicine. Doctors will pay-act confidence because confidence itself is a form of treatment, but we’ve all realized the infallibility of modern medicine, and we go beyond/around it to try to see what we can tell doctors are clueless about. Unfortunately it’s easy to apply the wrong kind of logic when determining what may have an affect on what, so sometimes things may get blames that have no affect on what they are being blamed for.

At the same time the severity of CAH seems to differ from person to person, and people with CAH are also spread out quite a bit so it’s very easy to take anecdotal evidence as universal.

Also remember that people can become very attached to ideas (whether those ideas are right or wrong), and when you say something that is contrary to those ideas, they can take it as a personal attack.
