Thanks Laura-So for the record, per the endo, he wanted us to use a mercury (most accurate) in the rear. We absolutely recognize there are differences in what you use and where you take it and mercury/anal is the best. Also, I know Motrin, et al, get the temp down and ideed we use that when she has been sick with a fever but at this point, our endo wanted us checking this for a few days and she has not been on Motrin for a while. Again, she’s clocking in around 96 degrees now that we’ve warmed her room up at night to 72 degrees and the human body always wakes up about 1 degree lower than ’normal’. That said, our problem is not the day-to-day thing in as much as why when she was waking with a temp of 94ish she was not reacting like someone should. So it’s clear to me has a very low threshold for feeling cold, which in general is not good. I’ve found in my research that obviosuly the human body shivers for a few reasons. 1. It’s telling you something is wrong which is you’re cold and 2. blood rushes to your core to protect your organs thus is why fingers and toes and outer extrmities go white. Neither is no good as if she can not tell when she is cold, she could incur damage to herself. Of course it’s one thing to be suck in the snow somewhere standed for lack of a better example but in her case, it’s more about not knowing when to come in from the cold/bundle up/etc.Jerry
