I’m sure that doctor got permission from the owner of the pictures to use them in his article and one only has to look in a medical book to get pictures like this.

There are sites that show people with CAH genitals with and without Dex as well. Plus, there is a slide show from a surgeon about genital surgery on a university web site.

Both of you are really sweet but people in medicine use pictures to learn and how the people feel having the pictures taken isn’t much concern even though that might be changing - If you look at the one picture the person spreading the other person apart isn’t even wearing full gloves and I remember those days.

This site should be a reminder of how much you trust the medical community because you never know where your picture might end up.

I saw the same type of pictures of up against the wall for a thyroid condition. I’m not comfortable around pictures myself, they took pictures of me for CAH but they also took more pictures to compare using me as a "normal" example to another Child that was withering away from a certain cancer.

I don’t agree with everything that he writes but many people in his field use CAH as a back drop for other things and I don’t blame his because really it is just the surface of CAH and this condition doesn’t have the public relations out there yet to see it next to something like diabetes of thyroid. The PhD’s that study just CAH aren’t that much removed from his angle either but that is just my opinion.
